Chemical Peel

Skin Peels use a chemical peel solution to exfoliate the outer layers of dead skin, revealing a new skin layer with improved tone, texture and colour. 

Chemical Skin peels can range in strength from a mild peel which produces peeling similar to that of a light sunburn with no downtime to a full-strength peel which should only be administered after appropriate preparation of the skin.

Our range of Skin Peels

We use the ENERPEEL range of chemical peels. The ENERPEEL system consists of 16 different strength peels which utilise a range of active AHA and BHA ingredients including mandelic acid, pyruvic acid, salicylic acid and ​TriChloroAcetic Acid (TCA). Each different peel treats a variety of skin conditions. Below is a selection of our favourite peels.
  • Active Ingredient: Mandelic Acid - 40%
    ​Indications: Sensitive Skin, Rosacea, Thread Veins, Suitable for Sunny Season.
    Depth of Exfoliation: Superficial to Medium Depth Peel
    Treatment Time: 20 - 30 minutes
    Number of Peels per Series: Typically four sessions, minimum 10 days apart. Single peel option available.
    Number of Series Per Year: 2 - 3 peel series per year
  • Active Ingredient: Pyruvic Acid - 50%
    ​Indications: Ageing, Melasma and Oily Skin
    Depth of Exfoliation: Superficial to Medium Depth Peel
    Treatment Time: 20 - 30 minutes
    Number of Peels per Series: Typically four sessions, minimum 10 days apart. Single peel option available.
    Number of Series Per Year: 2 - 3 peel series per year
  • Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid - 30%, Lactic Acid - 20%, Resorcin -14%
    ​Indications: Preparation for TCA Peel, Seborrhea, Mild Hyperpigmentation, Moderate Actinic Keratosis, Moderate Hyperkeratosis, Moderate/Severe Chrono-Aging and Moderate/Severe Photo Aging
    Depth of Exfoliation: Superficial, Superficial Medium, or Medium Depth Peel
    Treatment Time: 20 - 30 minutes
    Number of Peels per Series: 1-3 peel sessions, minimum 14 days apart. Single peel option available.
    Number of Series Per Year: 1 - 3 peel series per year.
  • Active Ingredient: TriChloroAcetic Acid (TCA) - 25%
    ​Indications: Sensitive Skin, Rosacea, Thread Veins, Suitable for Sunny Season.
    Depth of Exfoliation: Superficial, Superficial Medium to Medium Depth Peel
    Treatment Time: 20 - 30 minutes
    Number of Peels per Series: 1 to 3 peels, minimum 20 days apart.

When you shouldn't have a Chemical Peel

A Chemical Peel may not be a suitable treatment for you if you have or have had;
  • Herpes Simplex in the area to be treated.
  • Recent surgery (Last 6 months) in the area to be treated such as blepharoplasty, eyelid lifting etc.
  • Recent Laser treatments in the area to be treated.
  • Recent microdermabrasion treatment and any other treatment that may alter or compromise the cutaneous structure.
  • Immunosuppressive diseases.
  • Previous radiotherapy in the area that may compromise the regeneration of the skin.
  • Family history of developing keloids or hypertrophic scars.
  • Family history of developing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeing.
  • Allergy or known hypersensitivity to one or more of the components.
  • Other medical considerations.
